Ahora

Entender la situación

Bring together what changed, what the family has noticed, and what needs attention first.

  • Current situation
  • Main risks
  • Next practical actions

Próximos 30–90 días

Observar las señales adecuadas

Separate normal variation from changes that should prompt a new conversation or professional check.

  • Early signals
  • Reassessment thresholds
  • Preparations to make now

Próximos 6–12 meses

Comparar posibles caminos

See how support, the home, family availability, and budget could shape several realistic scenarios.

  • Possible scenarios
  • Decision windows
  • Ways to protect independence

Si algo cambia

Saber cómo responder

Keep a simple contingency plan for a fall, a hospital discharge, or a sudden loss of confidence.

  • Who to call
  • Who decides
  • What information is ready

Family capacity

See how much time and coordination different paths may require.

Financial perspective

Understand likely categories of cost before decisions become urgent.

A record of change

Remember what improved, what became harder, and which actions helped.

Today

Mum is still independent, but things feel less steady.

  • Two falls in the last three months
  • Gets up several times at night
  • Lives alone in an older flat
  • Daughter supports from another country
The same facts can lead to different paths

If nothing changes

Decisions may become urgent

Fear of another fall can reduce movement and independence before the family has a plan.

If the environment changes

Independence may be easier to protect

Lighting, handrails, a safer night route, and the right local support can change the path.

If new signals appear

The family knows when to reassess

Dizziness, another fall, or fear of walking becomes a clear trigger for a professional check.

What shapes the care horizon

  • The person's abilities and routines
  • The home and local environment
  • Available family and professional support
  • The task the person needs to manage

Empieza por un cambio reciente

No necesitas saber aún qué tipo de ayuda necesita tu familiar.

Cuéntanos qué cambió. Te ayudaremos a ordenar qué importa ahora, qué vigilar y qué preguntas debe resolver primero la familia.

A clearer view of today

The changes, context, and immediate priorities in one place.

A practical 7–30 day plan

A short sequence of actions instead of an overwhelming care checklist.

Signals to watch

What should prompt the family to reassess or ask for professional help.

A shared family starting point

Clear questions, responsibilities, and the next decision to make together.

The first pilot is for adult children who helped a parent make a practical care decision in the last 90 days.

Historia de la fundadora

Construido por una fundadora que vivio dentro del problema durante mas de una decada.

ABCElder was created by Klara Brodskaia, who was raised by her grandparents and began intensive caregiving at 14 after her grandmother's stroke. By 28, she was paying and coordinating three care specialists at once while tracking decisions across family opinions, local providers, changing symptoms, and limited information.

The obsession exists because the same pattern kept repeating: every decision started from scattered memory, unclear recommendations, and missing context. Dementia care, home support, specialist selection, money decisions, and family coordination all exposed the same infrastructure gap. ABCElder is the system she wanted while living through it.

The analogy

El problema no es el cuidado como emocion. Es el cuidado como infraestructura de decision fragmentada.

Adult children are already acting as researchers, buyers, coordinators, and memory keepers. ABCElder turns that hidden work into a longitudinal product: one parent profile, one decision timeline, trusted recommendations, and family coordination that improves as context accumulates.

Why it matters

The insight came from years of repeating context to doctors, helpers, relatives, and service providers.

The product starts with the family decision-maker because that is where fragmentation becomes visible first.

The long-term opportunity is a trusted navigation layer that remembers the aging journey.
